Bethlehem Karate Academy

Bethlehem Karate Academy (BKA) is a traditional Okinawan Karate Do located in Bethlehm, Pennsylvania.  BKA teaches open hand kata, kobudo, self defense and kumite to men, women and children 5 years and older.

David Sames, Sensei is the owner, founder and head instructor of BKA.  He has been studying the martial arts for over 29 years and is a Go-Dan (5th) Black Belt.  He also was a 1999 inductee in the World Karate Union Hall of Fame.

David Sames, Sensei started Bethlehem Karate Academy in February of 1994 on Irene Street in Bethlehem, PA.  BKA soon out grew that facility and in 1999 BKA moved to its current location on Willow Park Road, Bethlehem, PA.

David Sames, Sensei enjoys teaching karate to his students and refers to karate as a way of life.  He believes that karate not only teaches self-defense but also respect, discipline and self esteen.
