The Bo

The Bo is a wooden staff 6.0 foot in length, usually 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.  The Bo is made of a hard wood such as oak.  It is said the traditional use of the Bo was as a farming tool to carry water containers or to poke hole in the soil for planting.  As a weapon the Bo could be used in self defense against a sword.  The Bo does not have a blade or a handle however it can be used to beat, strike or even cut the opponent.  Its length gives the practitioner an advantage against its opponent.  Depending on the technique, it can change into many different kinds of weapons.
